Free museum hours in Orlando change with the day of the week. This is the list for Monday: first what is free on this day in particular, then what is free on any day.

1920 N Forest Avenue. Drive, 10 minutes from downtown, parking on site.
Worth it? Yes.The best garden in the city and well worth planning a Monday around. The rose garden peaks in spring and the camellias from December to February. The Leu House Museum is temporarily closed, so it is gardens only.
The restaurant and bar strip between Universal's two original parks. Walking in costs nothing, and you get the spinning Universal globe and a look at the coasters over the fence.
Free when
Entry is free every day, 8 am to 2 am. Parking is the catch: regular self-parking is $35 before 6 pm and free after 6 pm, except on Halloween Horror Nights event nights (select nights, late August to early November), when the fee applies until 2 am.
Free for whom
Everyone. Free parking after 6 pm applies to all cars on non-event nights.

Worth it? Depends.Worth an evening if you time the parking, pointless at $35 before 6 pm. In September and October check the Horror Nights calendar first, because on event nights there is no free window at all.

If you spend on one thing in Orlando, make it this.
One full day at Magic Kingdom
Nothing free in Orlando stands in for the thing the city was built around. Disney Springs and the BoardWalk give you the scenery but no rides, no castle and no fireworks from Main Street. If the budget allows one paid day, spend it here and stay until closing.
Everything above is free. This is the only paid pick on the page, chosen because no free option replaces it.
